Street Art: Messages from the Edges

A photographic archive of creative ephemera. Anonymous artists inhabit cities, dialoguing with passersby in New York City, Brooklyn, Reykjavik, Dublin, Cork City and Galway, leaving unexpected messages on walls, ruins, doorways and sidewalks.

Wandering the streets of the city, anonymous messages appear in graffiti, as murals, in layers of wheat-paste poster shreds, chalk drawings., scanning the walls and sidewalks for fleeting Mona Lisas, Black Madonnas, Frida Kahlos, Wonder Women, random scrawls of wisdom. Weeks later, the artworks have disappeared, living on in the archive.
